I've been taking pictures since I was a kid. Starting with a Kodak 110 Pocket Instamatic camera . I took pictures of everything from my younger brother, the family poodle, friends, and Ohio State Fair concerts I used to go to. For those of us who don't remember, The State Fair concerts used to be outdoors, rain or shine. There was grandstand seating or track seating. To get a good seat on the track, you had to be there really early. The building the concerts are in today is in the same area where the grandstand used to reside. With all of the film that I used back then, I am sure that I drove my mother nuts getting it all developed. I am so glad that we are in the digital age!!!

I took photography in High School, at Columbus State , and with The New York Institute of Photography. I have also studied with some great photographers. I've studied with the great late Monte Zucker , Mentor, Ohio 's Ellie Vayo , Grand Rapids, Michigan 's Charles Lewis , Renton, Washington 's Bruce Hudson , and in 2010 am embarking on Certification training initiated by Littleton, Colorado's Sandy Puc . I am grateful to all of the training and support I have received from these mentors. The portrait above was was taken by Monte Zucker at the last training class of his that I attended before his passing. It's a photo I will always cherish!

In 1991, I married my best friend. Dave has been a great supporter of my photography and I have been able to turn him into a pretty good assistant photographer. Dave assists with weddings and events.

Dave and I have no children, but we have three "furry children" as my friend Stef Cobb from Chicago calls them. Missy, Max, and Mandy are like have three toddlers. They are demanding of my time, but when I need them to sit for a picture, they are pretty good about doing it!

My love of Major League Baseball took me across the country for over 20 years. I did have an opportunity, on many occasions, to get on the field to photograph during a game. It's such a thrill to be that close to the action.

My other passion is concerts, especially performers like Rick Springfield, Ian Mitchell from The Bay City Rollers, Barry Manilow, Duran Duran (can you tell when I grew up? LOL), and even General Hospital's own Port Chuck. Every opportunity to take a camera to a concert makes the show 10 times better through the lens.
